Job Title: Outreach and Discipleship Pastor

Overview:

The Part-Time Outreach and Discipleship Pastor provides leadership in two key areas: (1) reaching the community with the gospel through outreach efforts, and (2) nurturing students in their walk with Christ through discipleship and relational ministry. This position equips the church to live on mission while ensuring that the next generation is being discipled in faith.

Primary Responsibilities:
Community Outreach (Approx. 30%)
Organize and oversee key outreach initiatives (e.g., service projects, seasonal events, evangelism opportunities).
Build relationships with local organizations and community groups for collaborative ministry opportunities. Encourage and equip church members to engage in personal outreach and service.

Discipleship (Approx. 30%)
Develop and support discipleship opportunities (small groups, mentoring, and Bible studies). Provide teaching and spiritual growth resources that strengthen the church’s discipleship pathway. Work with church leadership to integrate new believers into the life of the church.

Student Ministry (Approx. 40%)
Lead weekly gatherings for middle and high school students that emphasize biblical teaching and discipleship. Plan occasional events, retreats, or mission experiences to help students grow in faith and fellowship. Recruit, train, and support volunteers who serve in student ministry. Build meaningful relationships with students and encourage family involvement in discipleship.

Qualifications:
A mature and growing faith in Jesus Christ.
Heart for outreach, discipleship, and student ministry.
Strong relational and communication skills.
Ability to lead volunteers and work collaboratively with church staff and leadership.
Prior ministry or student ministry experience preferred.

Time Commitment:
Part-time, approximately 15-20 hours per week, including weekly student ministry programming, planning, and occasional community outreach events.
